Our smoked Carinthian pork loin bacon is made from high-quality pork loin sourced from Austrian pigs and represents traditional craftsmanship combined with authentic flavor. The animals are raised under humane conditions and fed with natural feed, allowing the meat to develop its particularly fine texture and rich, full-bodied aroma.
Only carefully selected cuts of meat are used for production. After salting, the pork loin is refined with selected herbs and spices. During the several-week curing period, the delicate flavors slowly penetrate deep into the meat and fully develop. This slow maturation process not only creates the characteristic taste but also gives the bacon its especially tender texture.
The pork loin bacon is then traditionally and gently smoked over beechwood. Through slow smoking at low temperatures, the bacon develops its pleasant, mild smoky flavor without overpowering the natural taste of the meat.
