The Little Red Riding Hood period briefs are the most breathable briefs in the range and feel incredibly light as a feather against the skin when worn. The delicate lace trim, made from 95% nylon and 5% elastane, and the vibrant colour make them a real eye-catcher, whilst also looking incredibly elegant and feminine. The cut is similar to that of a bikini, meaning they can be worn for any occasion. Use these period briefs as leak-proof protection during light to medium periods instead of panty liners or tampons, or wear them for extra security when using menstrual cups, cloth panty liners or cloth pads. What’s more, the Rotkäppchen period briefs don’t slip, which also helps prevent leaks. Caring for your sustainable Rotkäppchen period briefs

It’s best to wash the period briefs in cold water straight after use. After rinsing, we recommend letting the period briefs air-dry briefly (this prevents any risk of colour transfer to other items of laundry). You can put the briefs in the washing machine with your normal laundry at a maximum temperature of 40°. If there are stains or heavier soiling, we recommend pre-treating the period briefs beforehand, for example with Uni Sapon’s grease remover. For sustainable washing, use Uni Sapon’s concentrated washing liquid. Do not put the period briefs in the tumble dryer, and do not use bleach or fabric softener – this will ensure your period underwear remains functional for a particularly long time.

The main material is Tanboocel, a bamboo fibre produced using a patented and environmentally friendly (so-called ‘closed-loop’) process. This process primarily uses sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), which is also commonly used in food production, soap manufacturing and for almost all cotton fabrics (including organic fabrics). 99 per cent of the sodium hydroxide is recycled, and no other process by-products are released into the local environment.

If you’re out and about and don’t have immediate access to a place to rinse your period briefs, you can store them in a waterproof zip-lock bag or make-up bag in the meantime.
