These highly breathable briefs impress with their high-quality craftsmanship and sophisticated design. The elegant lace waistband is made from 95% nylon and 5% elastane and is a stylish eye-catcher. The fit of these period briefs is characterised by their low-rise design, although please note that they run slightly small. As the briefs can hold roughly the equivalent of two standard tampons (approx. 25ml), they are ideal for your light to medium flow days, as an alternative to panty liners or tampons. If needed, you can use your period briefs as extra protection when using menstrual cups, cloth panty liners or cloth sanitary towels. The absorbent lining is of high quality and therefore offers the best protection against leaks. Feel free and secure – with absolutely no restrictions – whilst doing all the things you love! The Japan Textile Inspection Association has confirmed that even after fifty washes, the bamboo pulp fibres retain excellent bacteriostatic properties.

Caring for your sustainable ‘Rotkäppchen’ period briefs

After use, rinse the period briefs in cold water and leave them to dry briefly (this prevents any risk of colour transfer to other items of laundry). You can then wash the briefs with your other laundry at a maximum of 40°. If your period briefs are particularly soiled, we recommend pre-treating them with Uni Sapon’s grease remover. To ensure your period briefs last a long time, do not put them in the tumble dryer and do not use bleach or fabric softener.

The main material is Tanboocel, a bamboo fibre produced using a patented and environmentally friendly (so-called ‘closed-loop’) process. This process primarily uses sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), which is also commonly used in food production, soap manufacturing and for almost all cotton fabrics (including organic fabrics). 99 per cent of the sodium hydroxide is recycled, and no other process by-products are released into the local environment.
