Hofstettner Pils is a beer for connoisseurs and lovers of a subtle edge, which manifests itself as a ‘bitter character’ – in the most positive sense – thanks to the use of Mühlviertel hops. This beer is refreshing, with a fine, sparkling carbonation that literally washes the floral aroma up your nose. The water from the Mühlviertel region, the hopping at various stages of the boil, the gentle cold fermentation and the traditional ageing process are the secrets behind this Pils. The hops are added at various stages of the boil and consist of three different varieties. Mühlviertler Magnum provides the underlying bitterness, whilst Mühlviertler Aurora forms the aromatic base; thanks to its delicate cones, this variety fully contributes to the floral aroma. The Select variety adds the finishing touch, with a particularly mild, characteristic hop bouquet.
