Wine beer 750ml – full-bodied – delicately tart with mild wine aromas – refreshing – pale yellow natural beer from Leutschach Brewery

The wine beer was born from an idea to develop something completely new, specifically for the region. As a brewery situated right in the heart of the South Styrian Wine Route, incorporating wine flavour into beer presented a challenge. The aim was to create a beer that was light and tangy, with wine aromas in the finish. So, in 2010, following a long series of trials in collaboration with the winemaker Erwin Sabathi, an ideal combination of beer and wine was created. The winey aroma in the finish is provided by Erwin Sabathi’s excellent, terroir-driven, deep and fruity Chardonnay (Morillon – the Styrian name for Chardonnay), which brings liveliness and freshness to the beer. The wine beer is a registered trademark of the Leutschach Brewery.
