Ausseer Bergkern Salz coarse - the well-known natural salt from the Salzkammergut
The Austrian natural salt has slumbered in the depths of the mountains for over 250 million years, where the Ausseer Bergkernsalz is still mined and ground by hand, just like in the Bronze Age, according to the old miner tradition. The Ausseer Bergkernsalz owes its gray-pink color to the valuable trace elements such as iron oxide, magnesium and calcium, which are contained in the natural salt. The Ausseer Bergkernsalz owes its name to its origin: the mountains of the Auseers Land. After the Ausseer Bergkernsalz has been broken out of the mountain underground, it is pre-sorted on the spot before it is brought to the surface. The 100 percent natural Ausseer Bergkern salt is not iodized and does not contain any additives, which is also reflected in its fine taste. The Ausseer Bergkernsalz coarse is ideally suited for the mill as well as for sprinkling grilled food directly at the table. Thanks to its gray-pink color, the natural salt from the Salzkammergut is also wonderfully suitable as a decorative salt.
