The Manner "Nougatcremeknödel" (Nougat cream rounds) are better known to many under the name "Leberknödel" (liver dumplings) and have been in the Manner range of products since 1989.
The name was changed with Austria's entry into the EU. The original name referred to the sweet's shape and colour - which made it look like a liver dumpling.
The new name "Nougatcremeknödel" refers to the high hazelnut content of the product. Many consumers find the taste of the Nougatcremeknödel is like that of the filling of the Manner Original Neapolitaner Schnitten. As is the case with many of our products, the recipe has not been changed for years.
