A story full of joie de vivre
The Casali company was founded by Joseph Casali in Trieste in 1792 and was known to the aristocracy for its excellent rum and punch variations. The imperial court in Vienna soon got a taste for it. In 1811 his son Julian Casali moved the factory to Vienna, where the company was then sold to Adolf Beer in 1913—a new chapter was written: the range was expanded—with sweets! This is how the popular chocolate bananas and other sweets were created.
After the merger of Napoli and Casali the company was finally bought by Manner in 1970 —this made the family business Austria's market leader in sweet treats and since then has put a smile on people's faces every day.
Until now it was a difficult decision to make in front of the confectionery shelf: do I take the Rum-Kokos classic coated with milk chocolate or do I prefer the counterpart with finest white chocolate? Now both are possible at once: with the new product Casali Rum-Kokos Black & White both treats are combined in a practical 300g reclosable tin.
Whether in dark or white, this exotic chocolate treat has many sides! It consists of a liquid core with rum made from sugar cane, which is covered by several layers of delicately melting chocolate with fine coconut flakes. This makes our Casali Rum-Kokos dragees unique.
