The barley we use grows on the Pannonian farmland outside of Halbturn. When the grain is harvested, the barley is malted in our establishment. After a controlled cooled fermentation and a gentle burn-ing process, the whisky is stored in carefully chosen wooden barrels to mature.
For the storage of our whisky we use the barrels of our red wine, made from Austrian, French and American oak. After at least 1095 sunsets the filling into bottles takes place.
Heathland is a very old designation for the steppe and grazing area in the Seewinkel. In Austrian dialect it is called “Die Hoad“.
