Samichlaus Classic Bock Beer 330ml – no head – sweetish malt aroma – full-bodied initial taste – fruity – nutty-brown strong beer from Schloss Eggenberg Brewery
Reddish nutty brown, no head. Sweetish malty aroma. A strong, alcoholic, almost liqueur-like first sip. Very sweet and fruity, with notes of dates and prunes, yet also sharp and spicy due to the strong alcoholic component and the robust backbone provided by the generous hopping. This beer can be served with hearty dishes, sweet desserts (especially chocolate) or as a digestif and a drink to savour. Brewed using only natural ingredients in strict accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. Style: Bockbier/Starkbier

Description
Samichlaus – the Swiss name for St Nicholas – is brewed once a year, on 6 December, and then stored and matured for over 10 months before being bottled. With an alcohol content of 14% and an original gravity of 28°, it is one of the strongest lagers in the world. Samichlaus can mature in the bottle for many years; older vintages gain in complexity and retain their creamy, warm finish.
