The excellent pumpkin seed oil from the Mostviertel pumpkin farm in Metz is produced in the traditional way in first pressing from the fully ripe kernels of the oil pumpkin. It is characterized by its unique nutty taste and tastes wonderful with summer salads, with sheep's cheese, for spreads, in pumpkin cream soup or even over vanilla ice cream! Production: When the oil pumpkins are golden yellow in our fields, it is the right time for harvesting! The pumpkin seeds are removed, washed, dried, cleaned and then sent to the oil mill, where our pumpkin seeds are pressed according to the highest quality standards. To do this, the kernels are ground and mixed with water and salt to form a creamy paste that is gently roasted. The incomparably nutty aroma of our pumpkin seed oil unfolds. Finally the oil is pressed. For 1 liter of pumpkin seed oil we need the seeds from around 30 oil pumpkins!
