The Esterhazy Palace, located in Burgenland's capital city Eisenstadt, was historically the center of regional power for centuries. The Esterhazy family has cultivated wine since 1600. Especially impressing is the very modern vinification facility. The wines - also the Tesoro 2013 of course - are moved only by gravitiy during the vinification process. The typical regional wines of Burgenland, ranging from crisp, fruity Welschriesling to Pinot Blanc to Blaufränkisch, are labeled "Classic". Probably the best red wine from Esterhazy. This mixture of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is perfectly balanced - can be stored for a long while and gains in taste. | |
