The name Chicxulub derives from the asteroid impact in the Gulf of Mexico 65 million years ago. This beer is intended to make a strong culinary impact, much like the violent impact of the asteroid. Oat flakes and roasted barley lend the beer a nutty flavour. With an alcohol content of 5.4% vol, it is pleasant to drink and has a lively mouthfeel thanks to the top-fermenting yeast. It pairs particularly well with dishes such as pulled pork, porterhouse steak, spicy Sichuan dishes and Somlauer Nockerl.
