Behind VELTSAM is the small family business Mayer + Mayer Balsamico Manufaktur, which can be found in Krems an der Donau - the gateway to the famous Wachau wine region. Two brothers have set themselves the goal of making high-quality balsamic vinegar "affordable" for everyday use. As a certified organic company, quality is their top priority. "It's quite simple. The quality of VELTSAM is created exclusively in the vineyard. In the cellar, you can only pay more attention to not deteriorating the product," says cellar master and producer Thomas Mayer, quoting his grandfather. "This simple truth is our guiding principle - both for our own grapes and for all the winegrowers from whom we buy the grapes for vinegar production." VELTSAM is a vinegar specialty made from wine vinegar and grape must, which is characterized by a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. The name VELTSAM stands for VELTliner BalSAMico and is a purely natural product: only grapes - Grüner Veltliner from Lower Austria - and nothing else.
