    The Hillinger winery is located in Jois in the Neusiedlersee wine-growing region of Burgenland. In 1990, Leo Hillinger Sr. handed over the vineyard to his son of the same name. Within a very short time, the business had become known as one of the largest private wineries in Austria. However, Hillinger is not only known in Austria, but also all over the world. Around 50 per cent of the total production is exported to other countries. These include Switzerland, the USA, Poland, Russia and many other countries in Eastern Europe. The wines are transported on a cruise ship or on flights.
