1. Cost of transport

Deliveries in Austria and to Germany are free of any delivery cost as soon as the good’s value exceeds 99 Euro (until 20 kg, then € 6,90 in Austria and € 9,90 in Germany are charged for every 20 kilos). The delivery cost depends on the weight and the country of delivery – you may find them out easily by yourself. Simply put the items you wish to purchase in your shopping cart and change the country of delivery. This way you see your total before you even have to register and enter any personal information.

2. Delivery restrictions

We regret not to be able to deliver to the following countries and locations due to [current] restrictions: Iraq, Iran, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, Ucraine and Gaza-Strip. The weight for parcels to the Ukraine must not exceed 10 kg.

For possible further restrictions regarding the country you are living, please see our site “Ban on imports”.

3. Tracking the parcel

You may follow your parcel online when sent via GLS or FedEx. After we forwarded the parcel to GLS or FedEx we will send you an email containing your personal tracking number. Please allow DPD and FedEx a couple of hours to enter the parcel in their system. Within the EU you will also receive a tracking number from X1!

4. Our carriers

We organize overseas deliveries (USA, Canada, Australia, Asia, Africa – plus Non-EU members) using the parcel service FedEx or GoExpress!

Within EU borders we use FedEx (in Austria DPD) and the parcel service GoExpress! The cost of transport includes the cost for wrapping material and handling fees. The shipping cost is shown the very moment you place the products in the shopping cart and change the country of delivery.

In general deliveries to Non-EU countries don’t include VAT – so customers save 10 % on food and 20 % on beverages (all prices in the store are shown including tax).

5. Extra charge for low quantity

Please understand that we have to cover our expenditure for wrapping material and handling fees. As we work with very low surcharges that is not possible if the order doesn’t exceed a special total. Thus we have (as other online-shops) to charge € 5,-- if the value of the ordered products is not higher than € 30,--. For orders over € 30,-- there will of course be no such fee.

Please keep in mind:

  • We have no minimum order amount (we will send you every quantity required, but please remind the extra charge for low quantity)
  • For orders with a product value below € 30,-- we will charge a fee of € 5,--.

6. Ordering chocolate

Due to temperature differences in the summer months, the chocolate can acquire a grey film. This happens due to the cocoa butter in the chocolate. The grey film does not affect the quality of the chocolate and not a refundable reason! Please think about the temperatures in your country, before you order!

7. Delivery and Time of Delivery

Delivery times (according to our experiences):

Europe: Depending on delivery type chosen, 1 to 4 working days
To all other countries and locations (overseas): up to 10 days

a) Delivery will be made at the risk and cost of the customer (cf. section 3) to the address provided at the time of order.
b) Quoted delivery dates are subject to change. If delivery dates could not be kept, this will entitle the customer to make use of the right to withdraw from the contract only after an extension period of at least two weeks. If we fail to meet the extension date, the customer is entitled to withdraw from the contract.
c) Delivery time is prolonged by any circumstances going beyond the contracting party's intention to deliver in due time in the event of: An Act of God, any unforeseeable breakdown of services, interference by authorities, delays owing to sluggish transport or customs clearance, damage during transport, rejections of important production components and unforeseeable interruptions of services.
d) If partial deliveries are possible, they may also be lawfully carried out. All partial deliveries count as independent deliveries, for which we may invoice you separately.
e) Packing the parcel and preparing for transport normally happens within 2-3 working days. Some products are not always available as they are freshly produced (e.g. sausages) or delivered from producers outside of Vienna. Please understand that it might take a couple of more days under these circumstances.
f) The products for the order shall be ordered as soon as the total is on our account or we can be sure, that the transfer is just happening (e.g. credit cards, Pay Pal)

8. Possibilities of payment

You have the possibility to easily pay your consignment on a secured way via credit card (we offer all of the most popular ones: Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express and JCB).
Many customers like to settle their invoice by PayPal: impress of PayPal | GTB of PayPal
Payment on invoice: In Austria, Germany and Switzerland we accept payment on invoice as well (via provider Payolution – but only if the total is higher than € 20,-- but does not exceed € 1.500,--!
Of course you may also pay for the products by using your bank account (NOT if you live overseas!!). All necessary account information from the AustrianSupermarket.com will be sent to you immediately after you placed the order. As soon as the total is transferred to our account, the parcel will be packed.

9. Import/Export and Customs Regulations

a) When placing an order, the customer must observe the import and customs regulations of the respective country.
b) The customer bears the risk for all consequences resulting from invalid goods dispatch abroad, disregard of the import and customs regulations of foreign countries (including transit regulations), wrong or incomplete information given in the customs declaration, the green customs slip or accompanying papers, as well as for non-observance of the applicable export regulations. This applies also to damage in transit by warranty losses as a result of goods not being replaced after confiscation by the customs authorities of a foreign country. It is incumbent on the customer to procure information himself necessary for proper delivery of the goods(e.g. the customer may contact the agencies abroad in the countries of destination or transit, foreign trade offices, Chambers of Industry and Commerce, etc. regarding local regulations and practices.).

Please understand that in some Non-EU countries the customs might charge fees for the import of products (e.g. Switzerland), which are not included in the total we charged you. The settlement of such customs fees is to pay by the importer.

For gift sendings to Non-EU-countries the parcels might be charged (and therefore the recipient). If you wish to pay for customs as well, please inform us and we give you all necessary information.
